Get ready for the entry of ur life... here's a long one abt my wonderful weekend! :D
As i'm regretting not going for the S'pore biennale (i bet u can't believe steffi so interested in art b4 rite?), I'll nv nv nv nv nv ever ever ever regret going on board DUOLOS!!!!!
My 1st trip to Duolos, as well as Vivocity, was last Friday nite, 17/11/06... Whoopie! It was a great nite at get_a_life.com! i saw pris, eunice, ya hui(from st. margs), & sharon & cheryl from SA!
But more imptly, i've learnt tt i don't want to be ashamed of my God, the Lord Almighty. Saying this can't be empty talk, so yes, it's a lot of courage taken on my part. From Friday nite on, i promise i'll not say anything tt will put people down. Even if it means 'just kidding'. I know myself to be really mean at times, when i suan non-stop. But now, i shall stop tt. but it doesn't mean i'm gonna be an all serious steffi. Yup, i'll stay wacky, appriopriately! :D

On sat, i went to watch Notre Dame De Paris w my mum & her colleagues. It was held in the indoor stadium. Now now, guess where's our seats?
Right in the front, no seats b/w us & the stage, right in the middle, red carpet treatment! Whoa! & we got these seats... F-R-E-E!!! Wooo-hooo! It was a great musical! The poet, Gringoire, was cute! :D I dunno how to describe lah, he looks like Owen Wilson. I like him cos he reminds me of Feste the fool- Seemingly the most foolish, but is actually the wisest. But Gringoire isn't all that wise. The only smart thing he did was not to fall in love w Esmeralda. Basically, the whole musical revolves around this beautiful gypsy, Esmeralda, and 3 men's love, which is in fact obsession, for her.
1st: Phoebus, soldier, who is the lucky guy Esmeralda loves. However, he had also loved another woman & returns to her at the end of the musical. His love for Esmeralda is basically lust.
2nd: Frollo, priest, who turns his love for Esmeralda into hate for her as he tries to suppress his feelings. (it's wrong for a priest to fall in love). Finally, he admits to be unable to control his feelings, still loving her, forces himself on her, gypsies attack him, he gets injured, gets back at Esmeralda by hanging her.
3rd: Quasimodo, hunchback, who Esmeralda only sees as a friend. He does so much for her, seemingly like true love, but he knows, & grieves at this fact, that he can never win Esmeralda's heart. Basically, he's the 'oh-so-poor-thing' character. Finally, Esmeralda dies & Quasimodo mourns for her terribly. That's how the play ended. I'm not sure if he did die or not.
The musical is so different from the cartoon... Quasimodo is very cute in the Walts Disney version. Here, they made him very ugly. It's a tragedy. What i've learnt from this musical: It's difficult to love beyond appearance. If you can do that, that's true love.

On Sunday, I'm back at Duolos. This time, Aunty Seok Hoon brought Pei Lin, Carrie, Jimmy, Aunty Baoyun, Ivan, Yu ki, Gordon, Feng Nan & me for a tour onboard the ship. We ate in the cafeteria there & met Bernice, Andrea & Vite. Vite gave us a taste of STROOP! *if tt's how it's spelt* I tell u, it's delicious! Stroop, I like!
Bernice & Andrea, if u're reading this: Pei Lin & i are so so so so so so so so envious of u tt u cld go for Inside Out program! I WANT TO GO FOR THAT!!!!!! *pouts*
Pei Lin & i are considering working on Duolos in 10 yrs time, if God calls us. So now, for this decade on, we're gonna pray for His guidance! :D
The ship is wonderful! Duolos is about people. There were so many friendly people there! I miss her already!

Now for another story: The Ben & Jerry's story.
On Friday nite, I went w Pei Lin to Vivocity's Ben & Jerry's after our trip to Duolos. When i was ordering my ice-cream, there was this flavour: Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Chocolate- so obviously, it's brown rite? i happy happy told the waiter, who's not so bad looking: could i have a strawberry fudge brownie pls? He gave me this BLANK LOOK: sorry? Then i happy happy look at him & repeated: strawberry fud- *Realisation dawned*. i gave this monkey face & went: bleh bleh blah bleh(something like tt) Sorry sorry, chocolate fudge brownie pls.
WAH!!! PAISEH CAN!!!! AHahaaahaaahaaha.. STRAWBERRY FUDGE BROWNIE!!! ICE CREAM FLAVOUR INVENTED BY STEFFI WOON-ed!
Here's the more paiseh part: When he gave me the ice-cream, the waiter had this super coy smile: Here u go, ur strawberry fudge brownie! Ahahahaahaahaaa... Super paiseh... Must have gone beet-red then!
And and and also, on sunday, Pei Lin & i went back to the same ben & Jerry's yesterday & that waiter was there. He served me again, & while handing me the ice-cream, he said: you're the one who wanted STRAWBERRY FUDGE BROWNIE rite? Oh my Oh my! So paiseh! Thinking of it makes me laugh! *& so as to not to act retarded, i try to keep e laugh only as a smile*
